NQP quiz raises over £8,000 for Amy Winehouse Foundation project.
2 July 2019

The third NQP quiz, now an established annual event, was held on Tuesday 18th June and we are delighted to announce that we raised in excess of £8,000 for The Amy Winehouse Foundation (AWF) project ‘Amy’s Place’ in Camden.
‘Amy’s Place’ is a recovery house specifically for young women aged 18-30, who are overcoming drug and alcohol addiction. This is one of the very few projects in the country which provides a safe home and supported environment where young women can learn to re-build their lives after leaving addiction treatment services. Research shows that women have a far greater chance of relapse without this kind of support.
NQP partner Kiran Vasudeva, who was involved in organising the event would like to thank all those who helped to make the evening such a success: “We are grateful for the support of all those organisations that entered teams or donated prizes. We particularly appreciated Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father, attending the event to tell us more about the project. This is a very special charity and it is our hope that the significant sum of money raised by the quiz will go some way to fund the holistic programme for the centre.”
Donations to the charity can be made via the AWF website.
