Nina Gurney

Director of HR, Risk and Compliance

I joined New Quadrant in November 2022, an exciting time in the firm’s development as it continues to pivot its focus to become established as a leading independent trust, fiduciary and family office services provider.

I bring to the new role of Director of Family Office, over two decades of legal experience, cross-cultural agility and broad exposure to transactional, regulatory and litigation work. On a day-to-day basis, I support both the legal and the trust teams, providing an alignment or bridge in term of how we advise our clients and develop the family office services we can offer.

I trained at Eversheds and amassed a wealth of offshore exposure with roles at Carey Olsen, Sinels, Hawksford International and Babbé LLP; advising corporate trustees, banks, UHNW individuals and family offices.

Immediately prior to joining New Quadrant, I spent almost six years with the private family office of Mr SP Hinduja, handling and advising upon a diverse mix of UK and international matters, enabling me to understand commercial drivers, the evolving regulatory landscape and the delicate balance between maximising opportunities and protecting interests.

I am a member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and sit on the STEP Disciplinary Panel; I am also a member of The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Association of Women Solicitors (AWS)

Outside of work, I support the strategic direction of Aston Mansfield Charitable Trust, building community wealth, diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as spending time at my local rowing club.
