NQP Charity Quiz Night 2018
5 June 2018

We held our second annual NQP quiz night on 5th June and we are very pleased to announce that we raised in excess of £10,000 for the London Air Ambulance. This follows the success of our quiz night in 2017 where we also raised the fantastic total of over £7,000 for Vatsalya Skills Centre for Girls.
The London Air Ambulance is very close to our hearts following an amazing rescue operation in April 2017 when one of our team, Jay Burdett, had an accident and fell head first down a flight of concrete stairs. He suffered multiple closed depressed fractures to the skull, bleeds on the brain and was in a coma for a week. He was flown to the Royal London Hospital by London’s Air Ambulance and was told by his doctor that if it wasn’t for London’s Air Ambulance, he probably wouldn’t still be here.
Based at The Royal London Hospital, the service operates 24/7. The average cost of one mission is £1,700 and they need to raise £9 million in the 2018/19 year to keep the service running. Last year they treated 1797 patients which is an average of 5 patients a day but most people don’t know that they are a charity, relying on donations to maintain an excellent service.
We are very grateful to all of our team, friends and peers who help us to run these events and raise much-needed funds for these deserving charities.
Due to the size of the venue, we were unable to invite as many of our contacts as we’d have liked but if you would like to donate to the charity, please email info@nqpltd.com and we will send you information on how to donate.
